so I spent like an hour earlier trying to find this book on here constantly coming up with 24 hours in the life of a woman, and right before giving up and assuming there were two titles I wiki'd and learned those are two different (if seemingly similarly themed) books. so first I pulled the letter from an unknown woman isbn off of the other book where it was located on goodreads. then I searched again and finally found the book. This is called a novella, but at best it's a short story and onePassive-Aggressive Revenge?Other than as a practice-piece, it is difficult for he to understand much about this short story. A woman obsessed since puberty by a neighbour she has hardly spoken to spends her entire life in a world of fantastic projection. What a little wonder this book is!I had never read anything by Stefan Zweig before but he had a perfect knowledge of a woman's mind which I find both sensitive and surprising.This is a story about the power of a woman's love vs the general indifference of a man who doesn't love back.I find it super-well written and a timeless story.Highly recommended for all young at heart!

Letter From an Unknown Woman I found to be a superb piece of writing. This is in my opinion Zweig at his absolute best in terms of stirring something in the reader, even though it starts along familiar, even slightly tedious lines.
