i have never read a short story with so much work put in, the story is well developed and the characters are just amazing, the plot is beautiful, we are talking magical beauty here.I love this series so much, I finished it all in on week and I cant wait to read more book by this author.I fell in love with the charcters so much that it was sad to see the end of the series.Rurik Wilder is a powerful bird of prey and Tasya Hunnicutt is a powerful reporter. They both couldnt stand each other from the moment they met. This storyline may be over used but Christina Dodd puts an unexpected twist on it. While Rurik is dealing with his past that is filled with death and destruction tasya is trying to figure out how to survive this nightmare. The Varinskis are after them and they get stranded with nowhere to go. Will they crumble under the pressure or will they thrive
Another page turnetThe story of the Wilder family just keeps getting better. I read all the Chosen Ones and this series really sets the stage. This has more blood than others but it is so relative to the story. A wonderful example of the unbelievable told in such a believable way.
The Darkness Chosen series is...*rubs eyes* ...well, some have called it sweet torture; I on the other hand suffered my way through this book. I promised myself that I would not reread a book in 2012; so here I am .. reading new books ... new authors ... Wow! this book was really great. I didn't think the character as a hawk could have been successful after reading about a wolf & and panther but it worked for me. The fight scenes could have been a bit more dynamic but all others more than made up for some uninspired fighting by the hawk. A good read all around from Ms. Dodd.Now on to book 4.
This is another series I got behind in reading, but thank goodness theres only four books in the series. It wont be that hard to catch up with it. With this second book down, Im enjoying the series so far, and it should only get more interesting considering the hero of the next book hasnt been heard from for years and the last hero er, heroine uh, well, since I havent looked ahead Im not sure whats going to happen! I got this book on Audible for super cheap and I've had it in my library for a while. I didn't realize it was a book 2 to a series, which I either applaud the author on or curse myself for, because I usually research books (a little) before I buy. The story line is good but the narrator was horrendous, hence the reason for the 3 stars. I also found some of the interactions between the 2 MC's a little strange at times.
