Chronicle Conducive To Books Left Behind Series Gift Set (Left Behind #1-6)
I thoroughly enjoyed the series -- some volumes more than others -- so I felt the need to rate each one individually, but summarize here. I do believe that: (1) The series "dragged" on much longer than it needed to; the same story could have been covered in, perhaps, eight books with fewer characters. Toward the end I felt as though the profit motive may have overwhelmed the authors. (2) While some of the better scenes are downright chilling, there is also a bevy of superfluous and unrealistic dialogue (ie. some of the conversations in heaven seemed ridiculous -- this is heaven, not the post office). (3) Overall, I think the authors included too many unrealistic character traits among the central characters -- the pilot who almost cheats on his wife, the international news reporter who is a virgin at thirty. I would have preferred to see more "sinners" than saints, and I think it would have made the heartbroken moments deeper. Christians have messy, upended, broken lives just like everyone else, and maybe the more that is communicated the more people will be open to Christ. As C.S. Lewis pointed out, He cannot force anyone, he can only woo.Rating Of Books Left Behind Series Gift Set (Left Behind #1-6)

I really enjoyed reading this series of 12 books. My grandmother raised me teaching about the bible. After she passed away I continued to learn about the bible on my own but I was left with many questions. I came across the Left Behinds Series and it helped answer quite a few questions. It helped me to understand some of the things I have been reading in the bible. I still have questions but this series was very exciting and all I can say is I do not want to be left behind. That is for sure.Simple writing, easy reading. Sped through them until about the 11th, and then it got to be tedious. The last book (12th) was what you're waiting for the entire series, but by then you've read about these people so much you are bored and quit reading a few chapters in.
Great series. Brought Revelation in the bible alive. Couldn't put it down. Looking forward to new movie coming out based on the series

Fun read

Perfect series to give unbelievers, or those on the fence. My Husband and Mom accepted Christ because of this series. Praise the Lord and thank you Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins! Easy Read! It's the book of Revelation in the Bible put into a fictional setting. You get to love the characters!
