Interpretation Concering Books Mackenzies' Honor: Mackenzie's Pleasure/A Game of Chance (Mackenzie Family #3; 4)

Zane's story, Mackenzie's Pleasure, had a little more meat (and heat!) to it than Chance's story, A Game Of Chance, so I rate MP a 4* and AGoC really a weak 3*. I wanted so much more in Chance's story, but really the beginning of MP was as much about Chance as about Zane, so I was really glad they were packaged together in this volume. Both stories had very strong heroines, which packed a stronger punch because in both cases the Mackenzie brothers expected spoiled, weak, whiny women.

But, for me, the female who took the spotlight in both stories was Nick in her 'pwetty dwess', wanting to be old enough to ride on 'Unca Dance's moborcycle'.

I love Linda Howard's Mckenzie series ... great characters and loveable family all with issues ;0)

Good writer for sure. I liked the story line and the action, imagination of the author kept me intrigued.

This book contains two stories, described below.4 stars to MACKENZIE'S PLEASURE.Nice story. I liked it. I plan to read most of Linda Howard's books. She is an excellent author. Although this was not one of her best, it was still worth reading. Story brief: Ambassador's daughter Barrie is kidnapped. Navy SEAL Zane rescues her. She falls in love with him. She continues to be in danger.Sexual language: moderate. Number of sex scenes: seven or more. Setting: current day Libya and a few places in

.

This is a 50-50 read for me. I liked Mackenzies's Pleasure but not A Game of Chance which are 2 previous books put together under the title of Mackenzie's Honor. The original in this series is a classic...but these are less than. I would suggest checking out Mackenzie's Pleasure through your local library or thrift store & pass or simply borrow the book A Game of Chance. Both are contemporary reads that are a wee bit dated in fact.
