Write Up Containing Books Dime quién soy
My first experience with Julia Navarro's books was with "La Sangre de los Inocentes" and I was really disappointed by it. The books was nothing as I expected it to be and I kind of have ruled her out for my future readings. However, when looking for a new book to read, a friend recommended this book, and since we have shared good recommendations before I decided to follow her advice. For every detail I didn't like from the first book, this one exceed by far my expectations. The story is

Amazing storyI picked this book randomly and it didnt disappoint me. The main character is adventurous and goes places all around the world, almost making you feel as if you were in those places. Through the book many important historical events take place like the Spanish civil war, WWII, the Cold War and the fall of Berlins wall. The chapters on the WWII context really touched my heart since many of the terrible things happening in the developing of the chapter, were not just fiction but things

It's a great book, one of the bests that I have read. It's very well writen and it's an amazing book for people who want to know how people lived in Europe in the 20 century.

Worth reading maybe more for it's historical examination of the times, but I rank it pretty average. I didn't like the writing style - a lot of short choppy sentences. This could be due to having been translated?? I also got tired of the protagonist's many travels. That ploy got old after the first few rounds. Based on feedback from others in our book club, I took the trouble to set out a rough family tree from the beginning. That did help some in keeping the players in line. The ending was

Probably the best ending of any book I read. A book that perfectly combines family drama, war, traveling all around the world and historical facts.

This book sucks! It's one of the lamest stories ever. Without any twists everything is just straight forward and the main characters are boring. The "journalist" who isn't able to do any research by himself and always needs people that are pointed out to him and happen to know exactly what he needs. The writing doesn't change a bit if the story shifts from one character telling it to another. And don't want to spoil the end but I was thinking "what? This is it? This is how the author intended

Although the story grabs your attention through the protagonist's suffering and pain, it's just that: melodrama. I won't lie, I have liked it at times, but that has been a 10% out of 100%. Firstly, I did not like the protagonist, who is suppossed to be incredibly smart and brave woman, but whose actions are more of a stupid irresponsible little girl playing spy. Secondly, the story is too long. I feel like dramatic tension and peace are wrong, making it boring at times and interesting in others.
