Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Follow Your Heart

An international bestseller with tremendous word-of-mouth appeal, "Follow Your Heart" is a bittersweet, heartwarming novel spanning generations and teaching the universal truths about life, love, and what lies within each of us. Originally published in Italy, "Follow Your Heart" won the coveted Premio Donna Citta di Roma and sold over 800,000 copies in that country alone before hitting bestseller lists throughout the rest of Europe. Now North American readers can enjoy the novel that has won over the world.

It begins in late autumn 1992 as an elderly Italian woman, prompted by the knowledge of her encroaching death, sits down to write a letter to her granddaughter now grown and living in far-off America. Through these moving reflections, we see one life laid bare--joys, sorrows, regrets, and all. And through the eyes of a woman nearing the end of her days, we come to understand what life experience has taught her: that no matter what the stakes, we must look within ourselves and gather the courage to follow our hearts.

Weigh Up Epithetical Books Follow Your Heart

This book is deeply moving because it deals so closely with issues close to the human heart. The prose is simple and uplifting, the story just an excuse to reveal to us universal truths that we all know but refuse to acknowledge. Critical and cynical people might brush this book aside but I feel that one really has to look very deeply into it to really discover its true worth. This must be read with an open mind and I feel that the ending is particularly apt because there is none. This situation

This is the brutally honest letter a grandmother who is nearing death writes to the granddaughter she raised alone. Her granddaughter is obviously a headstrong young woman who has moved to America leaving her grandmother in Italy heartbroken and alone. The grandmother can feel death coming and wants to leave her granddaughter a letter of history and hope for the future. She pulls no punches. She is not afraid to illuminate her own shortcomings as well as those around her, granddaughter included.

I absolutely love this book about life and death, about the ropes that tie family together. I can read it again and again, that's how much I love this book. really hits you hard so prepare to cry from the first page to the last.

An old woman, living alone in the seclusion of her home and garden in Northern Italy, ponders her life and the choices she made in a letter to her granddaughter who is struggling to find her way in life by traveling in the US.The letter is an open confession of a lifetime of struggles, mistakes, choices, revelations and insights, full of love, full of wisdom, boiling down to the basic advice from grandmother to granddaughter to listen to and follow your own heart in life.Full of memorable

I couldn't hate the story completely, but I really didn't like Olga. There is a certain fatalism in every thing she says, in how she even thinks. It is as if though she believes all her actions, no matter how free they were, led her and her family to that inevitable end.It was not my kind of book, but I won't say it was a bad one. It might be your cup of tea.

I was needing a book that make me feel closer to my mom in Heaven, and I found this book. My mother always said I should read this book, she said it was wonderful. A recomendation from her is something you better not miss.A long letter from a grandmother to her grandaughter. If you wish a long confession of how she feels in the nightfall of her life. Intimate, profound, with the feeling on the skin, anyone can feel related to it. I really like it. Of course, it made me cry in many parts,
