Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Goddess Boot Camp (Oh. My. Gods. #2)
Goddess bootcamp definitely wasn't as good as the first book in this series, Oh. My. Gods. However, I did enjoy learning more about Phoebe, Stella, Griffin, and even Adara. My favorite part in this book was definitely the scenes with Phoebe and Stella. We see how both of them actually care for one another. And we find out how Stella has her own crush she's pining for!
Daemon and Phoebe's mom were there, always supportive of Phoebe's uncontrollable powers.
I found the whole theme, controlling your powers, quite unoriginal. I mean, how many authors use that plot line? Like 500 million! (Okay, maybe I am exaggerating, just a little) anyway, I found the whole newfound power thing quite boring. The author hardly even put her own twist on it!
Griffin is as amazing as ever. But, of course, I liked the romantic tension in the first book better...
All in all, I enjoyed learning more about some wonderful characters, but I won't be reading this again!
2.5 stars- I liked it, in the way a person likes a remote control, we always worship the tv more!

This was so frustrating, because (and I am saying it this way so as to avoid specific spoilers) because the main character spends the entire book desperately wanting to do a thing which she then decides NOT TO DO even though she is completely capable of DOING THE THING and everyone spent the entire book trying to help her DO THE THING. Also, it seems pretty clear the author was planning on a 3rd book, because they left some pretty loose ends flailing about, but if there is a 3rd, I will not be"Goddess Boot camp?' she gasps. 'Seriously?" (14)I liked this book and it kept me interested, however I felt like there was too much happening within the plot. It was sometimes overwhelming to keep up with, causing a lack of understanding. I felt like there was too much happening to leave for a good ending, leaving too many loose ends. This book was a quick read, as I read it in about 2 days. I would recommend it to anyone into Greek Mythology!
I really enjoyed reading this book about a goddess book camp. The main character, phoebe, a teenage who recently discovers she's a descendant of Nike. When she finds her crazy power, she also finds out she has some major responsibilities. I can relate to her because she's just a teenager going through a rough patch in her life that will end in great success. The book was light and enjoyable while also throwing in action packed mystery. "Feel the victory inside you" (Childs 230) was an important

After Phoebe finds out that she is a descendant of Nike (the goddess not the shoe) she has to learn to control her crazy powers. Right before her Mom and her new step dad leave for their honeymoon she finds out she is going to have a test on her powers. While in the midst of controlling her out of control powers she has to train for Pyathian Games. So she is stuck in a house with her dreadful step sister who might just be the trick to getting her powers under control. While she has all her
3.5 starsBetter than the first book.Easy read though I took many days to finish it.
Recipe: Goddess Boot CampFirst, take three cups of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and water it down with tons of sugary nonsense. Add in a dash of The Clique mentality and fashion awareness for some weird reason. Mix altogether and over-bake to get another story about the children of Greek god that never got past two novels because literally why does this exist. If you're looking for frosting, check out the novellas.
Along with trying to discover the mystery of her fathers death, Phoebe also had to learn to trust Griffin. Even though they had been dating for nine months, when he started hanging out with his ex-girlfriend again, she started to doubt him...For fans of mythology and Childss books, this is a perfect addition to your collection. For the rest of the review, simply follow the link: http://www.aleisuremoment.com/2015/07...
